Les Cabanes du Mont is a small paradise consisting of xx tree huts build among European beech trees. The huts are build on pilotis. Because European beech trees are protected and very important for our echosystem (they host multiple birds and animals), they surround the huts but are not part of the structure!
A beautiful place, in harmony with nature and all the comfort you will want to have for that exceptional stay.
About the huts
The huts are build on Pilotis. They all have their own small yard with chairs and table, a balcony and the main room where you will sleep. They also have (and it is important to underline that as it isn’t always the case) running water! This means, you have a toilet and a shower!
The room itself is spacious enough for two persons. You have a large bed, a fully furnished kitchen, table and chairs! Everything is nicely decorated and out of wood! Definitely gives a beautiful touch to the place.
The balcony is really spacious! You can enjoy some great meals and relaxing moments on it!
As the place has water and a heating system, it is open all year long!
There are huts with various sizes that can host up to 4 and 5 people, so even families are welcome!
About the meals
As the cabin is furnished with a stove and all you need to survive, you can either cook and organize the dinner yourself or order it.
We had a fondue and trust me, it was delicious! (well .. I m’ a simple human, anything involving cheese and white wine will do the job).
For breakfast, a basket is suspended at the bottom of your cabin and you can simply pull it up. It consists of bread, marmalade, milk and fruit juice as well as fresh fruits.
About the activities
The place is surrounded by forest. It is definitely worth taking a hike around the area, and discover all the animals that live there!
You can also discover the following activites:
- Museum of fruits and distillation in Porrentruy
- The Jurrasic museum and botanical garden of Porrentruy
- The secret circuit of Porrentruy
- The prehisto park and caves of Reclère
