About the place
The place is located in France, more precisely in Guyonvelle (Haute-Marne), about 3 hours away from Neuchatel (Switzerland).
The hotel itself is built right next/within the forest. You will be welcomed at the restaurant “La Fourchette II” where you will proceed with the check-in.
After the Check-in, you will take a short walk to the entry of the property.
There you will follow a smooth dirt road that will go along all the different cabins and tree huts.
L’arbre à Cabane was originally a showroom for tree huts.
After a couple of years it was turned into an actual hotel and is now to rent. The ex-owner is the founder of these huts and has of today built several hundred of huts around Europe and even on other continents.
They are all different, ranging from “small bubble for two” called l’Ove-Nid (love + nid / Love + Nest) to familial huts hosting up to 8-10 people.
What about the accomodation?
While the smaller huts don’t, the larger ones have dry toilets. The bed is prepared but you should take your own bed sheets and or sleeping bag. It is also possible to rent them directly at the reception.
Some of these are quite spacious and connected with very nice wooden bridges that make you venture from tree to tree before reaching your cocoon. They all have tables (yet different versions, adapted to the place you rented) so that you can enjoy in peace your breakfast.
Some of these come with a balcony!
No jacuzzi here but pure nature and trees.
What and where to eat during your stay?
Dinner is not included. You can have dinner at the restaurant “La Fourchette II”. The meal prices are really fair for the quality! We really enjoyed our meal there which was prepared on the spot by their chef! Really tasty. You have 3 plates meals and a choice of beverage (with a local beer).
Breakfast is included and served directly at your hut in a small basket. It includes bread, jam coffee/tea and yaourt.
