Looking for a scenic view, mirror reflection and a touristic place?
Look no more, Bachalpsee will be here for you=)
Easy access, sensation guaranteed, you will reach that place within a 1 h 48 min hike (at most!) for only 188 m up/down and less than 6 km.
Located in the area of Grindelwald, you can take the cabines up to First. From there you have different fun activites to do such as:
– Cliff walk: walking on a suspended bridge
– Tyrolean traverse: which makes you slide down the mountain
– A few other things worth the detour
– And, of course, the reason why you are reading the post, the Bachalpsee.
If you want to make the journey rather “chill” you can take the cable car up to First, walk all the way to Bachalpsee and enjoy the view there. You can walk up to Faulhorn which will extend your experience and reward you with an additional breathtaking landscape.
Alternatively (or combined for the bravest) you can walk all the way down when you return to your car.
The walk down is very beautiful and, as opposed to taking the cable-car, will leave you more time to enjoy the view and get impregnated by its fascinating nature! An option I can only recommend!
